London Bridge restaurant
Discussion
There is not a massive choice in London bridge to be honest, any particular reason you are constrained to that area? It's more of a transport hub than a "restaurant" destination
City Social in Tower 42 (close to Bank) is a 10 min walk and fantastic food. One of the few City places open on a weekend.
Story on Tooley street is nice, if you like lots of small courses! Like 15 very small courses. Venue is "interesting" almost on a junction
Hawksmoor is excellent, quite heavy food though so work up an appetite!
If those don't appeal I would catch a short Jubilee tube to Green Park many more fine dining options there.

Rabot 1745, in Borough Market, a Hotel Chocolat offshoot, was excellent when it first opened, on the couple of times we ate there it was great, but on a recent visit, something didn't feel right.
Difficult to put my finger on it, but it seemed as if the the place had shrunk, the tables felt like they were smaller, once the dinner and sides arrived, we had to move some items, like glasses and side plates, to an empty table next to us.
The food itself, and the service were still very good though.
A bit further away, in Tower Bridge Road, is Constancia, an Argentine churrasco, that serves consistently good steaks, and South American wines.
A few years back, it had problems with extracting cooking smoke, to the extent that your eyes could get mildly irritated.
Surely this has been dealt with by now, well worth the 10 minute walk along Tooley Street, or cut down Bermondsey Street, then left into Tanner Street and it's on the opposite corner of Tower Bridge Road.

Fenchurch at the top of the Walkie Talkie is less of a grockle magnet than much of the fayre in SE1. Have a sherry at Jose first before the stroll over

Agree with a lot of the ones above, I happen to LOVE restaurant Story and in each of the 3 times I've been there it has actually got better, but I do appreciate it's £200 a head and some people may not "get it". And whoever commented on the location it used to be a disused toilet block when I first lived there!!
Brindisa is great for Tapas, and the usual Goodman's and Hawksmoor aren't too far a walk over the north side.
The only place of decent quality close by that hasn't been mentioned is www.constancia.co.uk/
When I lived in Shad Thames I'd eat here about once a month. Small, excellent and reasonable in price. I've not been there for 2 years but if it is anything like it used to be then it is an undiscovered little gem.
Hope this is of use to the OP or someone else.

Ref Black and Blue... I've eaten there twice and thought it was OK but no more than that. I'd rather drop more money on Hawksmoor or Goodmans.
Hawksmoor Seven Dials is very good apart from them being "over attentive" while waiting for the table. If I've said no to a drink before sitting down then the answer remains the same until I'm sitting down so please stop asking. Food was superb thoughBig Pants said:
Restaurant Story - horrible website so here's a review instead https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2013/may/...
Insanely expensive. Insanely good. Possibly the best meal I've ever eaten. And yes, it's a tasting menu.
Easily the best restaurant near London Bridge. The first time I went, it was almost cheap, not full and amazing. Now it is great, full and very expensive.Insanely expensive. Insanely good. Possibly the best meal I've ever eaten. And yes, it's a tasting menu.

Fenchurch fully booked but have reservation at Ting for the tasting menu for now while I wade through all the great selections. Goodmans, smiths, gauchos I've done with a steak loving friend hence the interest in Constancia.
Thanks again
I went for a Christmas client thing a few years ago, it was really good. But nobody in there. But that was before they sorted out the area a bit, and more large business came into the office space etc I think.
Casse Croute in Bermondsey is my fave place in the area. Not expensive, but very good food and feels properly french.
