Went to a McD with upstairs seating and they had an order point upstairs plus table service! Dangerous hehe
Two of our local ones are like that. When they bring the food they then offer to go get you sauces etc. Half the time if it’s quiet they’ll then come back round halfway through to check everything is ok.

All double storey McDonald's have at least one order point on the first floor and usually there's no queue to use them.

You can already add bacon to the big mac .... never seen the fuss about the big tasty, tried it once, didn't like it. Spicy chicken mcnuggets are currently being trialed

Come to Australia, they're running them here at the moment.

I had one the other week to see if my mind would decide they weren't bland and crap, but it wouldn't.

I don't recall the one on Bedford high street having them on the first floor...

The bacon's been terrible every time I've had it.

We’ve been looking at other methods of cooking it, which will hopefully improve the taste.

It's the fat. Taste isn't too bad, but the texture is horrid.

Come close a few times, but today actually had to pull it out of a breakfast wrap - just thick, stringy undercooked fat.

All UK burger bacon ends up terrible imo.
Too salty, too wet, too floppy and chewy.
Burger bacon for me needs to be crispy streaky bacon like American breakfast bacon

Bacon ruins a burger. I want to taste the beef.
There, I said it.

That’s because I believe it’s currently steamed and it’s this process that we’re looking to change.

I agree. I like bacon on a chicken burger but not a beef burger

In general I agree
The crispy bacon you get in five guys is OK
The terribly cooked stuff in McDonalds is vile. It's an insult to the poor pigs that gave their lives to become it.

Blimey, I'd have never thought that. Does explain it though.

The patties are steamed I think. Not surprising they steam the bacon in the same way. Keeps everything warm too I suspect.
