Mcdonalds new ordering system
Discussion
Getting my coffee this morning via App I hadn t figured out there were now syrups that could be added at the customisation stage . Will try that next time
Since the death of the toffee latte, I have now tried latte with caramel & vanilla syrup. I’m not a fan sadly, even when the coffee is free (with a 50p customisation for syrup)
My body will be better for it as I’m not stopping in past so often.

Turkish airports are outrageous when it comes to prices for anything

Big rosti sounds good, having looked it up
I have had one in Germany and they are quite nice. When they bring these products to our menu though they often tweak them so they are not the same and I hope we dont end up with the "rosti" just being a breakfast hash brown.gotoPzero said:
When did they start calling a hash brown a rosti? I noticed it on the menu the other day.
Seems like they are the same thing to McD (although an actual rosti is completely different)A McDonald's "rosti" and a McDonald's hash brown are essentially the same deep-fried shredded potato patty product, with "rosti" used mostly as a regional or promotional name in international markets. Both share shredded potato bases, identical cooking methods in fast-food operations, and a uniform golden crunch, though traditional culinary röstis are softer inside with pan-fried crusts, McDonald's version remains a uniform commercial patty regardless of what it's called.

This is why I never order any of the LTOs from McDonalds, they just end up shoving two standard menu items together and pretending it's different. OK, sometimes they'll have a new sauce. If they ever change the McNugs we will riot however.
BTW, I like a good rosti.
Always surprised that they don't just do the hash browns throughout the day. If they can do them for the rosti burger, I can't see any kitchen logistics problem with it. Would also put them on par with a lot of trendy burger places which do offer them as a side, in terms of offerings.
Box of 3 with a special dip for £3.99 would be about right.

I went to McDonalds for the first time in months the other day, mainly because my brother in law kept banging on about chucking an Espresso into a vanilla milkshake. I used to demolish a couple of McD meals weekly, I don't even bother getting food when I do visit now it just doesn't appeal to me, I do crave a BK every so often mind. The McD's DIY Affogato was good though!

Fast food related - the new Gregg's Steak and Stilton bake is delightful
Tried one today, just like the old steak and cheese roll they done years ago. Calorific but very nice! I've wanted to try a steak and stilton bake for a while, but it's too fattening for a snack and it doesn't feel balanced enough for a lunch. I might have to make up a salad. I've made a salad with a Gregg's sausage roll sliced into bite size pieces a few times and it's surprisingly good! Especially with some Branston pickle on the side.

I absolutely love their hash browns so yes please...
Eggslut used to do a side order of hash browns fried in duck fat and they were borderline too much in an amazing way.I've just checked their menu and they offer a truffle & rosemary one now which I suspect would definitely be too much.
