I didn't realise.

They have potato wedges but no fries. Now to be fair the fries in the UK are poor so why don't we get the wedges?

When I last visited a KFC in America I got a sachet of honey in the box, to this day I'm not sure if I was meant to put it on the chicken or the 'biscuit' that came with it.

They have just started delivering in the UK and their site says their fries do not travel well so choose other sides like beans or coleslaw.

American KFC do get the "famous bowl" which I wouldn't mind trying

It's for your pasty biscuit.

Wow, look at the sodium / salt content in that. I’m amazed you can get a bowl of chicken and mash to exceed the RDA of sodium. Must be the gravy.

The first time I had a KFC in North America (Florida) I couldn't work out why you'd want biscuits with the chicken. Very bizarre.

That Famous Bowl looks lovely though. yum

That's what I'd use it for if I was acting like an Englishman, but knowing the Yanks and their habit of putting sweet stuff on savoury items (eg. maple syrup on bacon, eggs and pancakes for breakfast, marshmallows on sweet potato for Thanksgiving etc) I bet you are meant to put it on the chicken.

(Also, I like how USA KFC has the choice of 2 coatings and the choice of either breast or dark meat).

Actually the pot pie doesn't look too shabby, I would almost be ashamed of putting that on the dirty take away thread

Not for about 20yrs!

(Just looked on Wikipedia and it became KFC in 1991)

Fun Fact: In Quebec, because they are militant Frenchies, it is called PFK.

The company is "Kentucky Fried Chicken (Great Britain) Limited".

They just prefer to use the acronym .... KFC

I remember when KFC over here did the Avalanche ice creams. I went to Orlando on holiday and fancied an ice cream so thought I would pop into KFC on international drive to get one.

Lets just say I got a strange look from the staff in the drive thru. biggrin

i prefer KFC chips to the other places. i liked their chunkier chips before they changed the recipe.i liked that sometimes they were a little soggy too.
