Nissan's Micra has been, for all it's life a dull, blobby, frankly rather horrible little thing. So imagine my surprise when a "new" Micra pulled up next to me at the lights, WOW! it's actually been styled by people who aren't blind!! ;-)

Are all those curves going to be cheap for the bodyshop to mend? These Doris cars are always dented.

The ones I’ve seen on the road, in “normal” colour schemes, have all looked rather smart. There’s a metallic orange that really suits it. Shame there’s such a limited - and low powered - range of engines.

One of those cars that are colour sensitive.Very ordinary in white, much better in darker colours.

they're appealing to european/UK markets that want that mini SUV, expensive/big car in a small car look. previous micras have been targeted towards more developing countries that want something more simple, humble and not flashy.

I had one as a hire car a couple of weeks ago. I was gutted when they said they were delivering a micra for my 120 mile one way journey.

However, I was wrong. For a little town can it’s absolutely spot on. It even sat comfortable on the motorway at 80

It had all the options too, sat nav, reverse camera, cruise control and more that I didn’t explore. It gets a thumbs up from me.

Hideous as anything Nissan chucks out for the masses. They can't seem to find a balance between blobby and sharp.

Anyone remember the special edition Micra Wave of around 1999? Always made me chuckle that they'd let that through.

But they do sell, Jukes and Q whatsits are bloody everywhere so doing something right.

I noticed one like MT and wondered what had happened, I quite like the third gen ugly one, great little car, indestructible, my auntie still has a MK2 Micra, that is turgid to drive but it keeps going and looks no different to when she bought it in like 1967 or something. We had a Mk3 as a courtesy car, 1.4 auto and myself and the missus always remark on how much we enjoyed the two weeks in that car, roomy, quick enough and comfy, just not pretty.

This looks fine, new Ibiza is quite a looker as well, These manufacturers are turning out some pretty good cars these days, despite the naysayers.

What's with the trend for those fcensoredg awful alloys every manufacturer seems to think look good? Vile, over-styled, swirly two-toned nastiness that deserves to suffer the fate of those horrific three spoke abominations from the 90's.

It's the consumer that thinks it looks good. blame them.

Am I missing something, or is it not very "new"? Surely the current Micra has been out for ages?

They look decent enough though; faintly Korean, which isn't a criticism these days.
