So, our new neighbors next door... a Malaysian bird ... in her 50's. Win win!
Just when I thought my culinary prowess had no bounds, I now get given food for free in a tupperware - direct. Its a neighbour thing apparently.
I am very grateful but 1 instant issue. She is all about mild flavours / fragrance e.t.c. I want heat and sauce. Loads of both.
Now I can't believe I am saying this but I am about to eat a "dry curry" chicken thing she has bought round. I should be uber grateful but just feel disappointed. Not eaten yet - gonna do a full report. But I like SAUCE. Her "family" hae made it, and it smells divine - but its got no sauce.
I am prepping it with my own sides:

My neighbours are Pakistani and make the most awesome authentic curries, she gave us a sample last year and we’ve order at least 5-6 times from she since then. Probably more expensive than a normal takeaway, but I don’t mind as I’m supporting a local fledgling business and the food is amazing.

Can you post one of these rather than your normal fare then please?Audis5b9 said:
One from earlier this week...
BBQ pork belly bao, miso mustard sauce, apple purée, pickled cucumber and crispy cracking
Looks alright I suppose. BBQ pork belly bao, miso mustard sauce, apple purée, pickled cucumber and crispy cracking
Bao buns are great, as is pork. Usually do pulled in those but love a slice of belly and they look great. My invite must have got lost in the post.
The pickle and apple sounds like it would have worked well with that.

Pan fried salmon, Jersey royals, asparagus, and beurre blanc sauce.
Two of us, but made potatoes for four, and similarly the beurre blanc - a whole pack of butter. How is it possible that we could consume a whole pack of butter?!

I could smash that, love Jersey Royals!
