Bit of premature Autumn food seeing as al fresco dining was a washout!

Brisket pot roast (Brazilian - orange and smoked paprika) with leaf potatoes.

Cheers.

Just thin cut and arranged so there is a bit of space. Salt, pepper and smeared with butter. Baked until gold/crisped.

...then more salt.

Interesting. How did it compare to lambs liver

Seekh kebab on naans and sizzling peppers and onions, basmati rice, raita, garlic chilli chutney, salad, chana masala, and another naan.

Champagne and raspberry posset and Biscoffs for pud, yum!

Calves liver has a slightly softer texture with a milder flavour than lamb's and is the best in my opinion.

Calves liver cooked nice and pink is absolutely delicious. Lambs liver and pigs liver is much more like the grey grainy liver you remember from your childhood.

Looks a bit bland but packed with flavour. Chicken and bacon with a creamy parmesan type sauce.

The chanterelles are having an epic season this year - last weekend fried a pile up with a load of garlic and parsley and butter and a couple of eggs for good measure, all on toast for an effective hangover cure:

And a few more for a fantastic risotto:
