Beef fillet and homemade chips (lots of them) and béarnaise. Had duck rillettes that I’d brought back from France to start with along with toasted sourdough. Homemade chocolate mousse for dessert.

Couple of bottles of Sancerre rosé with the rillettes and a couple of bottles of G Chambertin with the beef.

More steak - celebrating a small promotion at work so we went to Blacklock in Birmingham again - went for the Ribeeye off the specials board.

Melted in the mouth and tasted superb - think I have a new favourite steak restaurant.

Congratulations on the promotion, and on finding a decent steak restaurant. Looks great.

Looks like it is as good as the London venues.

I had to blink there. I thought the tuna was served directly onto the table top.

Cheers all - was good to be recognised after a few years of being taken for granted.

Can confirm the steak was fantastic, great service in Blacklock Birmingham as well. We're off to Pasture down the road in a couple of weeks, will report back to help all of y'all decide which steakhouse in Birmingham to visit smile

Pork Souvlaki at a local Greek Eatery. Could do with a nap.
