I don't understand why Wagyu gets such popularity, Black Angus and Dexter are so much better tasting.
If you've never tried A5-11/12 in Japan, this observation is absolutely useless.
I don’t think I could finish an A5 sized 12mm thick steak, way too much food.

Looks great but not sure of mushrooms with those flavours! I can’t imagine it’s anything other than fabulous though

Is the joke that it’s not in a bowl?

This is the Wigan pier of dinners

Mushrooms just a different texture really… and I had a pack in the fridge that needed using biggrin

Worked well… made the dressing with pure feel…
Mayo, some finely chopped fresh ginger, lemon juice, then added wasabi and rice vinegar until it tasted ‘right’.

Not something I’ve made before, but would definitely make again

Even the bowls aren’t bowls here. Pointless things they are

I had reserved some of Saturday nights stew and still had a bit of hake left. I also had some wonderful smoked mussels from Oban, so added them to the stew, partitioned the Hake in memory of Korea and turned it into a meal for two - her indoors loved it

The smoked mussels took it to another level as they were a different type of smokiness from the paprika!

Hilariously, my phone wants me to identify the face of the wee wummin on my jar of paprika biggrin

Would be all over that like a rash .... smile

Huge fan of the Baguette and it not looking too well cooked/coloured (so soft and chewy, rather than gum lacerating shards) Would be my preferred choice for both the Pate and the meats.

Is the pate plating the nice dinner equivalent of the chinese cuboid from the dirty takeaways thread? wink

Unless he re-shaped/formed a Mattesons Pate tube/sausage ? Mmmm Mattesons (if you're a child of the 70's/80's you may remember the adverts) Used to get this for lunch (2 slices of white toast, butter, mmm Mattesons pate and a pint of squash - then back out for another 4 hrs on your bike with your mates) Simpler times.

What in gods name is that Global thing? It looks lethal

Minus points for not de-containering the chutney into a nicer receptacle.

In addition, all baguettes crusts should be so crunchy they require a gumshield to consume

hehe It a bread knife.

It gets worse...The onion chutney is home made. Mrs R made a batch and it was lovely. Then used an old sweet & sour sauce takeaway pot to display her work. I know.

Ah - it's sitting on top of another knife (cheese knife?) - it confused me as it looked like the two knifes were joined on a pivot!

Tesco fillet steak, £6.

Dried out with kitchen roll, then seasoned and fried in butter in a very hot frying pan.

Please note decent pea portion.

Cooked to perfection for me, I wolfed it down!
