Where would you buy rabbit nowadays?

Quite apart from the fact that the link says "product unavailable", it's also bloody expensive at £20 per kg for meat which doesn't specifically state it's wild, which probably means it's farmed.
Have a little dig around on google, and there's lots of people selling diced wild rabbit at around £15 per kg.
So my first link then Have a little dig around on google, and there's lots of people selling diced wild rabbit at around £15 per kg.

If you don't mind having farmed rabbit, it's available in Iceland
I tried it once in a rabbit stew. It was OK, but Mrs lazy_b wasn't too keen on eating bunny, so it's off the menu now.
I love the cooking instructions on that!!!I tried it once in a rabbit stew. It was OK, but Mrs lazy_b wasn't too keen on eating bunny, so it's off the menu now.
The instructions said:
Shallow Fry From Frozen
1. Pre-heat oil in a pan on a medium heat.
2. Remove product from packaging.
3. Bring the meat to room temperature.
4. Place in the pan and cook for 2-5 minutes each side or to your liking.
5. Rest meat for up to 5 minutes after cooking for best results.
I'm can't imagine what sort of state the oil from step 1 is going to be in by the time step 3 has finished!

I hadn't seen that one... Just ordered a couple of rabbits, some beef skirt and a bunch of other stuff to the tune of around £85. I shall report back on the quality! https://www.rooksonline.co.uk/product/rabbit-game/
Grey squirrel might be a bit cheaper if you find a source.
Absolutely delicious. I shoot my own and my neighbours also shoot them for me.
You need a few for a decent pie or stew and they can be a bugger to skin.
My local CO-OP sells rabbit and other game on occasion. I'd rather know where mine comes from... ( I have a woods at the bottom of my garden )
Here's a little lunchtime snack..... Squirrel legs with buttered toast

17 quid for a rabbit is shocking...like the harry enfield sketch, i saw you coming.
farmers give them away, fair enough you have to skin and gut but still! Most country butchers will get hold of some for you and do it for a couple of quid. Just like waitrose flogging samphire and wood pigeon (well game generally) at silly prices.
The only game that should be pricey is something not local or rare, so grouse down south, maybe grey partridge, woodcock, snipe, certain types of wild venison, and certain types of waterfowl inland.

A more sensible price if you can't get rabbit locally, although I haven't bought of these people personally
