Good news first: Makers of one of the most delicious chicken sandwiches has recently opened their store at the Oracle Mall in Reading!!

Bad news: LGBT has pressurised the Oracle mall not to renew the 6 month initial lease and so the restaurant will be closed after 5 months. mad

Oh no I guess you’ll have to get your fried chicken at one of the thousand chicken shops that doesn’t fund conversion therapy.

I'm a bit torn about this, as I really do like fried chicken.

BUT

I also really don't like the fact that's the owners of the chain have been known to be so anti LGBT.

I live near enough to Reading to go in and try it, and I might do, but it doesn't sit right, spending the money there. Normally I don't care what people believe, but I'd avoid a company that's had such a past with this sort of thing.

Funny, the same LGBT group doesn't protest against Harrod's. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_Qatar

Yes I guess I'll just have to resort to the thousand Halal chicken shops that mostly are owned by those that believe being gay is a sin punishable by death.

They don’t open on Sundays in the U.S. because the owners are “such good Christians”, who oppose LGBT. Accepting “Christians’ then.... wink

Stupidly, the owners bought some concessions at major NFL stadia. NFL games are on Sundays, except Thanksgiving. Sound business decision there.

I'm sure that for any group campaigning on any subject it's possible to find an instance of their interest that they're not actively working on. Everyone has limited time and resources.

How many chicken shop owners did you survey to get that information?

There wouldn’t be much they could do to affect Harrods or the owners.
With a single leased restaurant they can put pressure on the landlord, get plenty of publicity, and achieve a good result.

It’s not one shop it’s a large multinational chain. They’re protested and boycotted all over the place.

There’s always Temple of Seitan. Well there is until you realise their chicken is vegan substitute.
Where can you get atheist fried chicken and is it any good?

I don't really need a survey to know which shops in London, Birmingham, Bradford, Luton etc are owned by people who condemn gays. Yet I don't see any LGBT protesting outside their restaurants. Just don't believe in bullying tactics to close down a restaurant. If you don't like it, just don't do business there. This is pure intimidation by a group to literally scare the landlord into cancelling the lease.

How many of those stores campaign against LGBT rights?

Nonsense. One store among many whose policies are campaigned against.

Time and resources are limited. You seem to be looking for a reason to condemn them because they're not addressing every issue simultaneously. As that's obviously impossible for any single group, perhaps you just don't like people who act in line with their principles?

Poxy offended types, this is why we can't have nice things. I'll be sure to check this out soon - their chicken sandwiches are lovely.

Agreed! The management should've told the LGBT bullies to fk off, not crap their pants at the first sign of a rainbow outside their window.
