What air fryer would you recommend for someone who also wants to cook rice in it as well?
Ninja foodie.

Can do rice in the pressure cooker mode. 1 minute cooking time then 10 venting.
So one minute longer than boiling and 2 mins longer than microwave?

It turns out much better than boiling. Also only really doing anything under power for the one minute when it builds the pressure up.

I like the way mine cooks rice, but it does take a bit longer than that, though much quicker than my rice cooker. About 10 minutes to build pressure, a minute to cook, then another few minutes to release (unless I get impatient and pop the valve)

Also has the advantage of being able to do really nice rice dishes (pilau, coconut etc).

Reminds me of the Nigel Ng sketch of how the western world likes to cook rice wrong and boil it like a witches cauldron. https://youtu.be/14WGd7PWIrs

Asian countries/households tend to use rice cookers and this is a similar approach, with better results.

Anyone tried chicken tikka in an airfryer?
Spotted a Jamie Oliver video where he cheats and used a few spoons from a jar of Pataks Tikka Paste, yogurt and lemon juice. He did it in a pan but thinking it could work in an airfyer. Mine has a raised rotating metal basket so thinking it could work before trying other methods.

The Al's Kitchen one looks better but a hell of a lot more ingredients

Yes, last week as it happens. I'd prefer more char than it can give me if I was eating it as it was, but it was going into a biryinani and turned out nicely

You are right. I did it again yesterday and the recipe in the ninja book was 200g rice with 250ml boiling water. 2 minutes pressure which takes about 10 minutes to build up. Then leave to vent naturally for 10 minutes.

Was spot on. thumbup

I've found that using pre -boiled water from the kettle reduces pressure building time by a decent amount

I brought an air fryer last year, put it somewhere safe, and now can't find it. Any ideas?
Next to the bread maker?
Under the Spiraliser

Behind the avocado slicer, probably hidden by the waffle maker

Since getting the Ninja Foodie 15 in 1 thing, my wife's managed to make decent rice. She puts a pyrex dish on a rack, then equal measures of rice and water, and it takes about 3 minutes on pressure cook mode to cook. Nice fluffy rice each time, not hot wet slop.

Equal measures - weight for both? We boil 100g of basmati in 240ml (grams) of water for ten minutes. Our 15-1 Foodi is still revealing its hidden charms!

I think she uses a mug of rice and a mug of water.
