I'm still intrigued that people go to BK and DON'T order a Whopper.
I'm the same. I'd much rather have a burger with salad than an XL.. bit like people who order a kebab and ask for only meat and pitta. Or a chicken curry from the chinese takeway and ask for just sauce and meat.

It's not often one is so disappointed... not had a Burger King for a time so long it doesn't bear measurement.

I give you a double XL bacon cheese burger. AKA a large dry bun, two dry beef patties, flaccid bacon in the middle and plastic cheese.

It didn't taste *bad* but I don't expect to add my own sauce... I suppose if i wanted accoutrements I should have ordered a whopper biggrin. Onion rings and chips were okay, the 'chicken fries' were ordered blind and effectively small chicken goujons.

Oh, and it probably cost a thousand pounds as it was via one of those delivery apps.

XL bacon double hit hard. But only after a night out. Normally from the Euston BK and scoffed down on the way back home on the overground with zero decorum.

In fairness you can have salad on a burger that doesn't come with it as standard, or at least you could when I worked at BK in '08-'10.

I know they still have the markings on the wrappers for adding or taking things off so I'm sure you can still "have it your way"...

An early dinner today after an early start and a long day. I present the mighty mix box which is a mix of doner, shish and chicken tikka. All stirred up in chilli sauce, onions and peppers. Comes with unused salad and a naan bread.

I was really hungry so had a couple of veg samosas and some chicken pakora on the side but it's defeated me.

I'll have the samosas tomorrow! Not bad for 18 quid to be honest but I now stink and I think I'm only going to get smellier as this progresses through my digestive system.
Wow....just wow!

1/4 Cheese burger with donner, chips, onion rings, chicken strips (really hot), chilli sauce. Bun looks burnt but tasted fine, chilli sauce had too much oil in it, didn't adhere properly for dipping.

Supposed Bolognese pizza, with mushrooms and green peppers, very tasty but minimal meat sauce flavour.

Try a Spice Bag, and see if you can find a decent recommendation on Google. It's an Irish delicacy, I'm told.

San Sab on Drumcobdra. Interesting experience and it’s been voted the best spice bag in Ireland for years running

If you put some Salt & Pepper chips and chicken in a paperbag so it can go soggy, is that a 'national delicacy', or cultural misappropiatation...? scratchchin More environmentally-friendly than the polystyrene tubs used around here, other than that can't see the appeal.

Won’t get chance to sample a Spice Bag as a DTA due to plans - so had one for lunch … smile. Chicken spice bag/box and duck gyoza.

Bit more variety this weekend, we got a delivery from a local Jamaican Street Food place.

I had a standard meal box with Belly Pork, rice and veg with some loaded fries, wife had the big box in the top left called a Ting Box - curried goat, rice, dumplings, Mac and cheese and veg.

Very pleasant.

Is that Patties + Ting in Safford by any chance?

I've been meaning to go for a while, it's a small walk down the river from the office.

If you can order ahead one of the regular boxes would make a very decent office lunch. It's all prepared on the day from what I've heard, so they can be a bit slower than other places. Worth the wait though.

Ours was that good we had someone trying to steal it the whole way through smile
