You can buy that kind of thing in lots of places in London it’s just not called a King Kebab. Try searching for a fish supper and you won’t find it either.
I agree you can get a similar type of nosh (in a nan), but it's never as good in London (or IME South of England in general). I have extensive experience of their kebab shops - the sauces are all wrong.Never had a donner like a west of scotland donner. There's something about the thin-ness of the sauce that is just .... *sigh*
Don't even start me on Australia. Six years there and I never once found a decent kebab ...
But I digress - like whisky, there is after all no such thing as a bad kebab - it's just some are better.
Since having my gall bladder out a few years ago, I can't really ever eat like that anymore (once a year, and i pay a heavy price for the next day) as my digestion is fracked, which makes me sad. This thread lets me be happy through other people's filth!

McDs. Really? Dirty takeaway?
If there was a thread titled 'cheap generic tasteless international food' I'd probably get it, but as a dirty takeway it really lacks imagination.

I'll never understand people getting annoyed about the frequency with which McDs changes its menu, or a lack of creativity/variety.

Is there such a thing as a reasonably healthy pizza?
Yes, Very thin base made of good quality flour, base sauce of pure tomato, lots of veg, real meat. Doesn't contain a thick layer of processed cheese.Like that one
We've become much too accustomed to pizza being a pile-on of the cheapest, most processed trash available.
