Was in Bristol for a city break last week and did our standard bab from Matina in St Nicholas Markets when we got there.

They are absolutely great, and there is generally a huge queue for them. My picture doesn't do it justice, but the bread is freshly baked (they have a sort of tandoor) and I had a mixed lamb and chicken with everything and it was immense.

Is that a 5mm Allen key sticking out of the wrap
biggrin

Remember I said I had everything on it? It was some of the 'leaning tower of red cabbage' as seen here (this is my last picture of it btw!)

Eski - Please take this in the sense it's intended, but I've never met anyone with a diet like yours. I've never met anyone that constantly eats so much absolute crap and so little fresh fruit and veg. And I'm just impressed that you're still with us. laugh

Had some filth from a new place tonight. Dinner and chicken kebab and cheesy garlic bread. Managed the whole ‘bab, still got 2/3 of the garlic bread left.

As you all know I’ve been in hospital twice in the last 2 years - both related to my dicky ticker, or weird rhythm related likely to denial/consumption of a less than healthy diet at times.

So while we get the kudos for posting filth … C70R’s comments should be taken to heart (literally) so we can keep posting into our dotage.

Sorry to go all @swinnerton in the thread - bit several beers, and lack of filth have got me all touchy feely in my postings … smile

Too true - but human nature can be destructive @ times … so human nature to show empathy/concern snd caring should also be recognised as a strength, not a weakness,

As I said - several beers and no filth have made me maybe a tough too touchy feely not

Not a takeaway but I feel this fits here.

Like a dry bread covered Pepperami. Felt incredibly wrong.
Phwoar that brings back memories of stopping at service stations en route to the Nurburgring, drier than the Virgin Mary but not bad as something to keep the wolf from the door whilst ticking off the miles.

Tried a new curry house on Sat, new Nepalese restaurant run by Gurkha's, had rave reviews, so thought I'd try something different for my curry fix.

Maha Kukhura chicken, Gurkhali lamb and SFR

It was bloody lovely (if a bit pricey)

May I present for your approval, large mixed kebab involving chicken tikka.

Topping chips and a battered sausage

And a decent amount of tray grease
