Agreed. Chips are bob-on with a runny fried egg and some crumbly black pudding.

Chips turn breakfast into a lunch. And just because you have black pudding with your egg and chips doesn't make it a breakfast.

Nonsense, I just had two poached eggs on nicely buttered toast with a dollop of tomato ketchup on the plate. Delicious, I eat them so quickly I didn't have time to photograph them

I'm with you re tinned tomatoes - happy to have them on a breakfast - but grilled/halved toms ... devils testicles - can't stand them (weird I know)

Actually like Avo/smashed on toast with poached egg etc - but given the ding dong that's happening in the Dinner/lunch threads - thought a moment of levity was needed before we descend into name calling each other .....

Avacados for breakfast are beautiful - smashed up, bit of chilli and garlic .... served on a slice of sourdough toast with a poached egg on top, bacon at the side ....you can't live in Oz without it becoming a staple.
