Ergo - by that logic, tinned tomatoes are also banned ?

To Paraphrase the learned Life of Brian

Brothers (and sisters, "Thank you Judith" ) This used to be an all encompassing, tolerant and diverse group . We seem to now have splintered into several factions.

So brothers (and sisters "thank you Judith) Let the Chips/sauce(s)/egg touching beans/anti-mushroom faction unite in our one common goal

AVO has no place on a breakfast plate !!

Holy Makarios, I've been away for just over a week and this abhorrent discrimination has been allowed to creep into thread.

Anyway, this morning's effort -- five eggs with a splash of water, some sliced up wafer ham and fried in butter. I forgot to take a photo before carving off a portion for the boy.

So potato is verbotten unless in the form of hash browns or waffles.

What is the view on 'oops compared to baked beans?

I likes 'oops every now and then.....

I cannot countenance potato bread or fried potatoes being forbidden breakfast items.

Some people think that hash browns should not be included in an English breakfast because they are American. They think the correct potato side is bubble and squeak.

If you ignore the English label I'm happy to nick bits of America, Wales, Scottish and Ireland to add to my fry up.

You sound like you have good taste - hoops aren’t popular around here but they are a super food as far as I’m concerned smile
