Is there a barbecue stock shortage or am I just too early?
Discussion
Just to round this off, I missed out on the wowbbq E-320s at £749.99 due to too much procrastination on my part, but ended up getting the next model up (the S-320 with the stainless hood) from Hayes in Cumbria for £741 (after a 10% discount from £825).
Just need to wait for it to arrive now, roll on summer grilling without pissing off the neighbours!

A few places (wowbbq and bbqworld) seem to be expecting delivery mid April. I have to say, prices seem much higher than when I was looking last year.
FWIW I ended up going with a Napoleon Rogue 425 from Costco. It was about £470.
Noticed this on website, but sold out, are they available in store?FWIW I ended up going with a Napoleon Rogue 425 from Costco. It was about £470.

Was in Dobbies garden centre and b&q today. There was no stock shortage in either in the weber bbq section.
All of the local dobbies and b&q up here in the frozen North were completely out of weber under 1k unless you wanted a spirit e210 2 burner.Getting hold of a decent size gas canister was the next issue, calor aren't doing new 13kg patio gas bottle contracts, only 5kg and flogas were similar.
Ended up getting a 10kg flogas patio gas bottle from gumtree, but I'm keeping an eye out for the calor 13kg one as b&q offer refills cheaper than the 50 quid that homebase want.
Still waiting for the grill though, Hayes kindly emailed me on Monday to say it was out of stock and they're waiting for replen from weber... Most of their stuff is now marked out of stock on their site now, gas grill and gas supply seems to be the business to be in if you want endless demand at the minute!

Not heard anything about gas shortages and my missus is on all the local boating groups. Got a Flogas 11 coming tomorrow, £30 from our localish newsagent. Cambs.
If you already have a bottle, you'll be fine - but Calor definitely aren't writing any new contracts out at all for their 13kg patio gas bottles. You can get 5kg ones though, as nobody really wants them.https://shop.calor.co.uk/13kg-patio-gas-bottle.htm...
Flogas 10kg Gaslight (the one I've just got) is available though: https://www.flogas.co.uk/product/10kg-gaslight?c=a...

I was after a new 13kg patio gas at the end of last year. Local garden centre chuckled when I asked them...
We also needed a new 47kg cylinder for the kitchen, so when I rang a local independent gas supplier to order that, I asked about patio gas. In stock & no problem putting one on my order.
https://www.mandmgases.com/ if it helps anyone. Branches Shrewsbury, Hereford & Worcester I think

To bring this to a close, the S-320 Spirit 2 finally landed today and I've just finished building it, bang on time for the next 7 days of non stop rain!
And the day after the bank holiday At least the bank hol was a washout, if it was glorious sunshine I'd have been rather annoyed!
ETA - I also don't think there's been much of a stock shortage from manufacturers - the sticker shows my BBQ as being manufactured in April 2018, so somewhere there's warehouses full of the bloody things!

Just sorted my new bbq-grill in the new house , it’s a bit short of my indoor year round job in the last house but it took 5 mins to build from a grill rack the previous owner clearly never used and some bricks from a wall I’ve knocked down
Border terrier and milk crate size box included for scale , obviously it’s temporary but I was missing burnt meat , and before anyone asks , no , I don’t have planning permission and building control hasn’t signed it off ! Cooks well mind , almost like a crap tandoori oven so I’ll be taking inspiration for the real thing once I’ve sorted the outside rooms
