Can I freeze leftover lasagne from Cook?
Discussion
Not the most epicurean of questions for the PH gastronauts I know, but working late tonight means I CBA to prepare my own so I have got a frozen Cook lasagne for 4 for supper. But Mrs is going out so there will now only be two of us eating it.
Can I freeze the leftovers, or will we have to scarf them over the weekend? No great hardship if we do, but then a portion on the freezer would handy too.

Better idea would be to try to halve it before cooking, not easy whilst frozen though!
Its far from best practice to reheat previously frozen-cooked-chilled food but to be honest standards in modern commercial food production are so high the risk is quite low.
IF... you cook it according to instructions and then cool the remaining half as quickly as you can and get in the fridge as possible. Then, when you reheat it you do so to at least 75 degrees (85 in Scotland ) you'll probably live.
Just be aware when it feel cool to the touch the centre is still hot so sticking it in your fridge will raise the fridge temp a little.
ETA: Queue at least 10 posts telling you not to worry and you can cook-chill-reheat food as much as you like, their Granny lived on frozen reheated lasagne and lived to a hundred and the human race has survived for 1000's of years without worrying about such things.
Personally, I do all sorts at home but I do have a reasonable understanding of how things work with food safety so know what I can get away with. But if someone asks a question they will get a near text book advice because there are a myriad of unknown factors that could affect the outcome.
