Today's unpretentious lunch consisted of barbecue leftovers and tinned stuff, eaten from a plastic box with a spoon.

How do you eat a sausage with a spoon?

I cut it with the edge and then scooped. They were chipolatas so didn't put up much of a fight.

Imagine if they were on a plate, no edge to scoop stuff onto the spoon.

Long live the bowl(ed Tupperware)!

Variation of the usual ..Chicken & rice with a couple of boiled eggs chopped and mixed in. Hot sauce to help it go down. Yum.

Junior is a very plain eater and wouldn’t even entertain the chilli prawn stir fry I made for me and his mother tonight, so he got an easy dinner. Sainsbury’s shredded brisket joint (25 mins cook time) + buttery mash + yorkshires + some gravy I threw together from bisto and the brisket juices.

I would rather have brisket. It looks delicious.

Last night's bowl food - meatballs with tomato sauce, fried potatoes and salad.

Separate bowl for the salad as no one wants soggy salad.

33ºC keeping it light.

Store brought chicken leg. Home made potato and chilli salad, looks grim, taste good with a kick. Basic salad, red onions, cucumber and tomato’s, nutritious but that’s about as far as the excitement goes.

I'm intrigued by that 'line' of white pepper, do you use a straw or a rolled up tenner?
