I briefly considered it, but gravy from scratch for one is a little, er, pretentious wink

That’s what bisto is for.

Make it with chicken stock and a bit of MSG or Arome and it’s as good as fancy stuff and only takes a couple of
Minutes to make.

Ha! I actually took the photo earlier to send to Mrs L who was having takeaway roast in Bristol to show, including wine, what she was missing. Promise.

PS I really don’t like Bisto - very thick and fake tasting. I’ll ban myself from the thread.

To add extra unpretentiousness points, replace Bisto with Lidl's Newgate own-brand gravy granules

I just freeze some when I have a bigger roast into 2 portion tubs. Quick to defrost and saves effort.

Reminds me that you bought some half decent Asian instant Ramen but never did post back on the "Noodle" thread! Were the instructions too tricky rofl

Top Tip: don't cut the bread in half - fold your sarnie then crimp the short sides so it doesn't all fall out thumbup

No idea where to put this, although the time would suggest ‘dinner’ the origin supposedly ‘Asian’, I’ll chuck it in it here.

Chinese long soup, or stew for the rest of us, onions, garlic, pork bones, carrots, tomato’s, and potatoes, slow cooked for a couple of hours.

The Chinese part, a peeled pair is added from the start, lending it a sweetness to the savoury flavour.

Can’t decide if this in unpretentious or pretentious…

Wagu & Bone marrow burger with winter spiced ketchup in a brioche bun.

My confusion reigns over the conflict as I’ve no desire to impress/show off, this is Aldi’s food, yet it’s label seems to try otherwise.
