if a roast is done well, then I don't want it covered in gravy. Same goes with a steak I'd rather have fish fingers without condiments as it just overpowers it.
Absolutely. Sauce on a beef steak just ruins it. Might as well have a burger instead for the beef with sauce combo and save some money..A roast with no gravy is a little unusual though. I have to have at least some gravy for the veg component to make it taste a bit more 'meaty' and a bit less veggie.

It depends on the sauce and the steak really.A gravy doesnt really work but a proper bernaise or a peppercorn can.
A good steak doesnt need a sauce but a sauce can lift a mediocre steak
I don’t mind sauce with steaks, a good steak doesn’t need it yeah but it does add another flavour to the whole dish so can be enjoyable in itself. I had a steak a few weeks back with a whiskey cream sauce and it was amazing. Do prefer it in a dish on the side though so I can choose to dip into it or not.
A rare treat tonight, a hot dinner, as opposed to my usual sandwich.
Chicken super noodles, mushrooms, left over chicken breast, garlic, black pepper, cayenne pepper, oregano and a shake of onion granules.
Very tasty and almost worth the wait of the 10 minutes cooking/boiling time. Back to 60 seconds sandwich tomorrow night though, got meat to use up.
