Any recommendations for a really festive ale?

Previous ones I've tried are Sloshed Santa and wreaked Rudolf.
However a weekend in Rouen for a Xmas trip the Biere de Noël blew my head off so good flavour but bloody hell it was made rocket fuel.

Gentlemen, Sansberries are currently selling Spitfire for £1 a bottle.
I'm not a fan of this beer - one or two ok but if you want lots not my cup of tea.

Badgers Champion Ale or Golden Glory very tasty.

I'm also a big fan of Dr Hectors Healer

One cider I am partial is the Welsh Hospital Entry wink

And London Pride and Old Peculiar. They had to be retrieved from the fridge though which really isn't on.

Really like the London Pride but dislike the new bottles. Old London Pride bottles were so much better

Have any of you fellow ale drinkers frequented 'costellos' of Altrincham..

Costello's Bar is the official brewery tap for Dunham Massey Brewing Company.

I ask as they have just been given permission to open a further bar in my neck of the woods..

I've not had the pleasure yet so please feel free to fill me in on the ales or the bar they already have set up...

cheers...

4 pints in and I'm stuffed, also due to the dirty takeaway (see thread). Moved onto larger for bubbles, burping like a trooper!

Eta: roasted nuts isn't on at the minute, they've only 4 on. Changing season beers perhaps?

For some reason I've not made it there yet. However, Dunham Massey do some very fine ales. As well as having enjoyed their bottled ales a number of times, I had a couple of pints of Big Tree on draught in Dunham Massey village a week back and it was lovely.

I found myself in the Foundry in Canterbury at the weekend, the is separated from part of the micro-brewery by a glass wall so about as close as you can get to it. I thoroughly enjoyed these:

But wasn't such a fan of this:

This is a really lovely beer. Sold at my local pretty regularly.

If you are in Canterbury again and on the hunt for a few beers, head the the Bottle Shop at the Goods Shed (http://www.bottle-shop.co.uk/)
