It often gets absolutely slated by the pros but I do enjoy it - it's maybe a bit one-dimensional but it's sweet and easy to drink. I think some casks got f
ked by sulphur candles which has ruined the reputation somewhat. My bottle's got no sign of sulphur thankfully.Hmmm, you could try 12yo Cardhu or 15yo Dalwhinnie if you like Pittyvaich... Macallan 15yo Fine Oak is decent too.
Personally I love pretty much anything from Ardbeg or Highland Park (the 18yo HP in particular).

lefty. have you ever been to the isle of wight? there is [or maybe was, this was then i wer a bairn] pub called the white mouse which has hundreds of different whisky's lining the bar. it would definitely be right up your alley.
as for me, i was bought 4 bottles of whisky for christmas. they are gone now, as are the other half dozen or so i have bought since. i have as such decided to call 'time' on my drinking for the moment.

No I haven't but thanks for the heads-up. Dalwhinnie 15 year-old is one I reccommend to non-whisky drinkers to convert them! Very, very smooth, beautiful sweet malt... Not dear either, maybe £30. Give it a go! 
Yeuk. I usually start them on Springbank 21 (or 15 since the 21 is neary all drunk, need to find another decent priced bottle somewhere

You haven't left much space for expansion! Rookie error...
I made sure when building my library bookshelves there's plenty of space. There's about 60m of shelving!

Do you have beer and wine as well?the first bottles were to help me not care about being newly single. then i got into a habit of watching a couple of dvd's per night with a fair few generous measures. then i decided to test which was best for a whisky mac - stones', tesco, or asda green ginger wine. on a half and half basis, this took 3 bottle alone [black bottle blended]. stones' by a mile imo.
i have stopped now

In theory it should be relegated to the sideboard like the irish and japaneese but i bunged it in there to fill some space for now As for space, that picture isnt very good to show depth (or the back row top shelf) - theres room for another row on each shelf assuming the glass shelves will take the weight....
