Excused, lose the sprinkling of icing sugar and I'd be happy with that.

Inspired by Dibble. wavey

I had a bad reaction to chemo and had a temperature of 38.9°C and was rushed into hospital.

This was breakfast.....cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk, bread & butter with strawberry jam and a carton of orange juice.

At a cafe in Hassop in the Peak District this morning.

With a large cappuccino it came to £12.20.

How sophisticated is this?
This morning’s greasy spoon provided a pair of mini scissors for opening your sachets of sauce!
The fried bread was a bit anaemic but the bubble & squeak was magnifique!

I've no personal beef with ramekins. Some of my best friends are ramekins.

But the beans should be much thicker. Those have come straight from the tin for 30 seconds in the microwave. For £12.20, that's not how you do beans.

Agreed,

Incidentally who else likes to give the beans a real blasting in a frying pan, that's in a pan not swimming in grease obviously, ideally for me a clean non stick pan, but that's just personal preference.

I like to drain off all the bean juice, then replace it with a knob of butter and some sun-dried tomato paste. When I can be bothered.
