Interesting Christmas present!

Tastes really good, pretty damn hot, though I did add a fresh reaper I had in the freezer along with the several dried ones in the kit. Had to move operations to the garage, Mrs wasn't pleased that boiling reapers in vinegar was like nerve gas. Who'da thunk it.

For any other fans of their products, sad news a few days back is that the Cambridge Chili Farm company has come to an end. Apparently they've been investigating another business opportunity and decided they can't do both at the same time so the chili company is now no more. Loved their naga chili onion relish.

Ending up buying the lee kum kee chili oil that craigjm suggested. glad i did, going to be using that every time i order chinese now, it tastes just like the takeaways stuff they charge 50p for.

my only gripe is it's not really hot enough, i end up putting too much oil in my food so probably need something hotter.
Not necessarily more hot per se but definitely tastier is the Lao Gan Ma rage of chilli oils. My favourite is the one with fermented black bean added - but they do a few different variations. It's like flavour crack - a teaspoon or two mixed in with just plain boiled rice makes the rice totally delicious.

Yeah it’s a different kettle of fish. If you just want to add heat then I stand by my suggestion. If you want to change or create a flavour then the old godmother range is great

Received a couple of jars of this at Christmas:

It's very nice, just the right side of too hot, but still makes your eyes water....

Just had some with some potted Stilton yum

Is it just me or is the adding of swear words to bottles of chilli sauce now just a bit hipster?

Not much of an explosion this one, more like a pop. It was disappointing but does look cool as a present.

Postie landed this morning with my sauce. I like it! Not normally a fan of Encina.
It's got a bit of a bite.

For 'own brand' supermarket fodder this is quite hot and although not on the same level as the 'specialist' brands it's not bad for only £1.00
