No matter how far I come there's always time to go back to Nick Drake

Every song he wrote is like listening to music for the first time. Except Man In A Shed. That was kinda sucky frown

Replay/repost time

Am listening yet again (to all of Pretzel Logic)

Crikey they are/were so good, those guys - but whatever you do, don't bother looking for live stuff on You Tube - it was heartbreaking earlier this week watching some more recent performances and watching Becker shuffling aimlessly around on stage!

Anybody else have days, or even weeks of endlessly playing the same stuff, just because you realise it's so good?

When it first came out I was absolutely hooked on Foo Fighters' Sonic Highways, playing every day for a month or six weeks or so!

Week before last I was just playing Yes - now it's Steely Dan!!!!!! This could go on for weeks too.

I have this album at the very back of my collection, (bought by wifey).

Now look what you've done, just thinking about it and I have deeply dippy going through my head!

Forced Witness by Alex Cameron. Best new album I've heard in years. Brilliant lyrics and great tunes. Well worth checking out.

Some people might not like it, but this is very good IMO.

Bugzy Malone covers Eminem - Stan, with a wonderfully Mancunian 2017 twist.

Gary Numan's new album, Savage (Songs From A Broken World) on MP3 (cd arriving Monday) good stuff so far, very much a sister album to his previous, Splinter (Songs From A Broken Mind) which is imo a very good thing.

Going to give this a listen later, was listening to his other stuff last night. Last time I saw him was circa 2005 IIRC.

He gets better; amazing really, saw him with my eldest daughter in 2014 on the Splinter tour and last year with wife and both daughters on the Nostalgia tour and (apart from the rubbish venue and drunk audience behaviour) it was a great night. Gary's voice seems get better with age, and the music is in a niche all of its own.

I'm only 28 but prefer his older stuff especially when he plays it now and modernizes it a little.
