Bonnie Raitt, and Bruce Hornsby, “I can’t make you love me.” Couple of times, then,
Lonestar, “Let’s be us again.” Can’t hear this one enough.

DMA's never heard of them but they are supporting The Courteeners/James/Pale Waves at Heaton Park so thought I better had listen to them.

Fire by the Silos by Toska, not my usual type of music. I'm really enjoying some of the tracks, the monolog talky ones less so.

Nutbush city limits" Tina Turner.
1973 studio version, as used as the backing track to this dance video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IydWoyZ7Ew
Her live performances have always been amazing but the frequency and dynamic ranges in this leave them for dead.
Enjoy, loud.

Since some girl murdered it on XFactor last weekend, the cover of Sound Of Silence by Disturbed has been a regular listen and I am pleased to report Princess Junior (15) has played it at least once this week every day on the school run.

I think this is a magnificent vocal, bringing out the real anger in the lyrics that in 1964 Simon and Garfunkel couldn’t then really express.

Absolutely, it's never far from my playlist. In just under three years it has clocked up over 452 million plays on YT. An excellent rendition indeed.

This might be the best version, live, such power, yet sitting down,

I really love this; having first heard the song when Simon and Garfunkel’s Central Park concert was broadcast in 1982. I was 16 frown
