Depeche Mode - Stripped (Metropolis Mix)

I've been really into DM now for a few years despite ignoring them largely in their hayday, and this is a top tune and video (turn it up, and the bassline is great!)
Been a big fan for 30 odd years, that YouTube mix is flipping excellent thanks

Reminiscing about 80's TV series, I dug out this...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2i7ppYRLmeQ

...a live cover version by Kebu of the StreetHawk TV theme Le Parc (L.A. - Streethawk by Tangerine Dream )

Now to have a dig about in the depths of the CD collection to see if I can find any Kraftwerk...

Surprised to find I am a huge fan of Biff Byford - I didn't know I was.

His "School of Hard Knocks" is fabulous and very varied - quite like his cover of "Scarborough Fair", but was mightily impressed by this other cover:

Partly because this was what was recommended to me first which drew me to the other tracks on You Tubby and the album itself, partly because he seems to do something very logical with the end of that track that was quite unexpected - pleasantly so.

Anyway, the album is more than just a couple of good covers - it may well be my commute sound track for a month......

A medley of Red Hot Chilli Peppers songs, really starting to like the complex guitar parts that sound so simple, yet are anything but.

Oh yes!

But really enjoying Steve Hackett on You Tubby - he has had some fantastic musicians recreate his Genesis years and tracks like Supper’s Ready come across at their best in a more live environment - as on Seconds Out! thumbup

Anything Frusciante does is generally brilliant and extremely hard to play.
