[quote=dandarez]I'm not a fan of modern stuff, too old. Loathe the hype today and especially (imo) the overrated likes of Ed Sheeran etc.

But occasionally something will come along and make me sit up, especially if it has good electric guitar.

This made me sit up today when I heard it. Best single to date this year. By miles!
Yeah, very very good! I'm assuming guitar is Wendy Melvoin (ex Prince the Revolution).

Very, very good lyrics too and so appropriate today.

I agree - listened to it at home after hearing it in the car - even better with the cans on.

His first album was pretty good too.

Every week whilst holed up in my office I seem to have got into a routine of listening to one artist almost none stop for the entire week, this week being working through the entire catalogue of the Offspring.

O'Connell & Love - Minesweeping

One of the few albums I can listen from start to finish and love every track.

Laid bare at times. Fascinating and he comes across as a most decent Fellow.

What an album, not sure it gets enough credit to be honest. Superb.

Jeez! I just found this on the usual YouTube Rabbit Hole Session - you know the type.

This must have been the year I saw Trower on tour....the quality is unfortunately quite crap, but Jimmy Dewar at his best and he must be one of THE most underrated vocals in the rock world, Lourdan and Allen putting down such a good vibe and that controlled but feeling lead from RT - it really shines through. Put shivers through me. I remember rushing down to the front at the concert I went to, and think it probably explains my hearing to this day!!! 1977! It's a century ago eek
