Propaganda - A Dream Within A Dream, variuos remixes and extended versions.

Sometime between stoner and progressive I have an 80s XL/ZTT revival, Horn/Lipson/Kraushaar were on top form

when they produced Propaganda, Frankie, Art of Noise, some really timeless tunes.

I could put a thousand things up here for guitarists but lately I've been blown away by this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkUpfw4Hf3w&li...

Gary Moore doing Parisian Walkways.

Wonderful virtuosity and awareness of his stage sound. And a note for other players, he does most of this with his first two fingers.
I know Gary Moore isn't exactly underrated but watching this makes you realise he deserves a lot more recognition than he had.

And Railroad bends as well!

Morrisey live on 6 music...

...Sounds great, but he really should give jokes a miss in between the songs

Just heard Shania Twain new record on radio... Swingin' (something or other).

Not a fan, just another trying to make a 'comeback' after disappearing off the scene.
Well, she's had a lot going on, with the whole real-life "wife swap" thing and all. So she's no longer working with Mutt, and the split knocked her so hard she lost her singing voice (yes, it's a thing).
Fair enough.
However, I'd no idea who 'Mutt' was till I just looked her career up post 97. I wouldn't have known (didn't) any of that so I shouldn't have made assumptions which were crass. And there's me who usually shouts 'never assume anything!'.

Anyway, I'm glad as her new song caused me to check out the other Swingin' recording from the same 90s era which I'd forgotten.

Currently listening to Dead Blonde Stars, Resolution EP ... has more than a hint of Soundgarden and STP about it. smile

Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train

Just brilliant.

I'm sure one of the sonic the hedgehog games uses a sample of it

UNKLE - War Stories album (thanks Amazon Prime Music).

Buried this CD in the loft, many years ago, didn't think it stood up well compared to their (his) previous albums (still don't) however it has more merits than I considered first time around.

Not bad.
