Going back a bit....

I think I found this channel via a link in this thread, some great tunes I have found and many I recognise.

The definition of excellence, and what I am enjoying currently with the new era of old skool, re released. Thank god for Sci Wax ( SW ). A huge movement and one that I think rescues the sound I fell in love with.

Volume UP

Which ones? My life was devoted to them. Pressure 100.3, Rude 104.3, Flex 103.6 and Don/Dream were my goto's. Found loads of others such as Transmission FM 107.8, Supreme 96.1 - there were around 40 at one point, I ran out of room on my radio select options.

Rude 88.2

When we were young, in the early 90s we would drive into London from Milton Keynes, with a Ghetto Blaster and tune in to Don, call the number up for shouts, then moved to Kool with a K as well, cruising round the capital, locked in locked on. Loved it.

I remember 88.2, that was before 104.3. Good station. There are some serious uploads on youtube in pirate radio archives going back in the day.

Small world!

Just after me I think. I did about a year, was too hard as I had work Saturdays and was on Friday night shift.

Wicked memories! Fugue, Flava etc.

One of my best mates is on tonight, Jess, 4-6 with Nick EP

Just wanted to say thanks to those posting links - some great tunes!

Reminds me that at some point I want to transfer all my cassette tapes into a digital format before they all wipe themselves with age, or whatever they do when they get old lol
