I listen to Radio2 every day via Tune-in Radio. However, come midday, I cannot stand listening to Jerremy Vine. Has anyone found a good alternative radio station on Tune-in? I tend to switch to RabMac at 1pm.

It's perhaps worth noting that R2 is always trending very highly, perhaps there just is not any real competition?

I like most top40's mainstream, from any era. I dislike heavy metal, old time C&W and Indy music and channels with loads of adverts for stuff I'd never buy.

Any suggestions greatly received.

P8 Pop - from Norway. Lots of 80's music

Riviera Radio - from south of France in English - excellent all round. Adverts feature, cars, yachts, and jewellery.

I listen to Solar Radio which plays a mix of classic soul/jazz and modern soul/jazz, I find none of the music they play irritating and they play some absolute classics from back in the day and not always the ones you hear everywhere.

Solar - classic soul and funk. DJ's can be a bit "Smash and Nicey" but not your R2 playlist sort of stuff.

There's FIP, France International. Plays an astonishing mix of everything from jazz to funk and chanson, jazz concerts in the evening. Mostly un-interrupted by 'DJs'. Very classy.

THIS - It is just great, especially Underground 80's

And as he says - no adverts, no banal DJ's, no news, no weather, no traffic, PERFECT
