Young MC: Know How but really for the superb sample of Shaft and Shaft itself by Isaac Hayes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wck6YaZytmM
Do I also hear Michael Viner's Incredible Bongo Band's 'Apache' sampled in there too?
Never heard of them till you mentioned it
But THANK YOU very much after checking them out
Most welcome.

Anything from Pink Floyd but Comfortably Numb works well.
That is a stunning track.
I used to work with a bunch of guys back in the 80's who were really into their music.
They were older than me, and always banging on about Floyd this Floyd that...
I was more of a Level 42, Alexander O'Neal sort of guy.

My music tastes have now somewhat "matured" smile

With you on the Pink Floyd shout. Can I add "High Hopes" from the Division Bell - that soaring guitar solo is epic.

Many people mock Dire Straits, but some of their stuff sounds great through a decent stereo, eg Telegraph Road.

So before I even start, let me say this is an odd one. I'm posting it just for the long intro riff, which I think sounds amazing, honestly I'm really not a fan of the vocals in this track. Nevertheless, want to rock out with your new speakers? I humbly suggest the aptly named, Stoned Jesus - I am the mountain.

This sounds great!

This one you might not like but I think it's very good test of a sound system, wait for about 3.15 and the vocals really lift.

There's a compilation album by Jean Michel Jarre called Aero. It's another one that might not be to particular tastes but it sounds very clear. Last Rendez-vous is a good one.

Obviously this should go without saying, yet I'll say it anyway. You really want to test out your new speakers? You'll need some strong guitar and some epic drums, you can't do much better than Led Zepplin - Immigrant Song!
