First gig was Ash playing 1977 in the Bristol Uni Anson Rooms. It was a fantastic gig and atmosphere. However I remember being mildly disappointed that they didn't have they didn't have the Tie Fighter sound at the start of Loose Control hehe
Ash were great live, saw them twice.

Jimi Hendrix Experience - April 67 at the students union Imperial College London University. Major PA problems with the vocals so all you could hear was the most amazing guitar from a Marshall flat out through a double stack. I’ll never forget the impact he made....

Bet your ears are still ringing !

Mine are from when I saw Ted Nugent back in the day.

See you have a nice hobby of making guitars now, am thinking of having a go myself, well, assembling one from parts smile

The start of my journey into tinnitus... The guitars are a little different - they’re not made from wood but composite shells with a laser cut steel internal spine which is adjustable for neck relief. Should be in low volume production later this year...

November 1987 - Transvision Vamp at Aston Villa Leisure Centre, thought Wendy James was so hot in those days.

Good day all round because we went to Aston Villa v Everton in the afternoon, first ever live game on "The Match" as neutrals, and Villa won 6-2.

May 1978 the first of many gigs at the iconic Birmingham Odeon - AC/DC it was a Sunday night, couldn’t hear a thing next day at school. Think hearing came back by Wednesday. Quickly followed up by Black Sabbath, Motörhead, Judas Priest...the list is long

No wonder my hearings on the way out.......

Didn't they start off in the 60s as Simon Dupree and The Big Sound? Slight change in musical direction/

30th October 1989 - Poole Arts Centre - Transvision Vamp.

I had just turned 14.

I bought a programme before the gig and stuffed it inside my shirt.

By the time I had left a very sweaty gig, the program had turned to mush.

I saw this line up at Bedford, April 11 1967 - bumped into Jimi in the foyer, nearly knocked him flying....

Thin Lizzy were booked to do Reading University Students Union* before they hit the big time. They went up in everyone's estimation when they honoured their obligations.

*Acedemically challenged, I didn't go to university. I lived nearby and worked in Ravel in Broad Street.
