I've found a couple of arrangements online, but what I'd like is something for piano that replicates, as far as possible, the chords and general 'feel' of the Glenn Miller Orchestra. I can hear how I want it to sound but lack the experience/theory to find the chords.

Thanks smile

I can tell you that the first two chords are C minor and C diminished, but I never bothered working out the rest. Not my era, so I don't suppose I'll ever play it.

(Sorry to be so unhelpful, but I suppose two chords are better than nowt.) rolleyes

Thanks - in fact a friend tracked down a version at musicnotes.com which was a good start. My teacher and I reckoned the first (free) page looked fairly accurate but sounded a bit skinny - he added some notes and after he left I added some more and made up a few more bars and an ending. Now I've paid for the second page and will tackle it next week!

FYI it's in in F major but you go through some scary sounding keys like 'A flat dim7' and 'B flat m6'. No idea how to play them but in practice it's just a few notes, so not difficult smile

AIUI 'A flat dim7' and 'B flat m6' are chords rather than keys, and Google will show you how to play them, complete with schematic of the keyboard (or fretboard if you prefer).

Ah yes, I have never quite worked out the difference between chords and keys. I have no interest in playing them 'naked', only in knowing which actual notes to hit to play the piece, ie. from C to B. t's rather tun to know that you are playing something as awesome sounding as 'A flat diminished 7th' and yet it is only two notes biggrin
