Anyone going?
I saw them in LA in 1987(I think) before Bowie later in the year when I lived there. Without doubt two of the best concerts I’ve been to.
I missed the boat when they opened booking but now looking at booking through a consolidator.
Seem to be tickets available at £170 - 500+ which as a one off is fine. However the choices are slightly confusing for my tiny mind, which offers the best value?

I saw The Cure at Camden Barfly about 15 years ago. There were about 200 or so in the venue and they played for about 3 hours....it was an amazing night. There were about as many people outside wanting to get in or try to buy tickets than were inside the place. It was a real privilege to be honest.

Yes I'm going, been seeing them for over 30 years now in all sizes of venue including festivals (Glasto), always prefer their indoor gigs as they are "less poppy" in setlist content. They are still as good now live as they ever were, don't think you'll be disappointed especially considering the strength of the support bands.

I think the venue won't be that good though so not expecting a good view or sound but I couldn't not go. I was lucky enough to see their Reflections gig at the RAH a few years back where Lol came back, hoping they might roll out a few of the ex members of the band for this one too

Looks as if a new album is due in 2019 so if the venue puts you off, might be worth waiting for the "tour" (read 3 nights at Wembley Arena) in support of that.

I was in a band called Prevention. We were better than The Cure.

Me and Mrs Percy are going, first time for her, I first saw them on the Kiss me Kiss Me Kiss me tour as a whippersnapper (late eighties I think) and a few times since. It looks a good line up for the day and I hope they do lots of sad Cure rather than happy Cure!

I'm away on holiday that weekend - gutted.

First saw them in 1991 headlining the Great British Music Wekend.

Amazing band. Hugely talented. I saw them last at the Royal Albert Hall many years ago. They came on with no support band and played solid for three hours. Best gig I've been to by far. Hugely disappointed I can't make the Hyde Park one.

Their first gig was in Crawley at the railway pub in 1977, then the rocket to people that know the area. They then played loads in Crawley in the late 70s

Robert Smith was from Smallfield and went to school on the Balcome road in now what is the worth business center.

I only saw them once in the early 90s on the wish tour.

Just found this great website where you can see the set lists from all the concerts you’ve been to.

Yes I’m going with my missus. Never been before as they’ve always sold out so quickly so we always seem to miss the opportunity. Both love the music though so really looking forward to it. The Editors and a few others are also W playing so should be good.

Only issue I have with festivals in London are the nobs who talk through the entire performance

Me too.

I'm sure I saw them at some Brit weekend along with The Mission as well.

This year I am going to see Bruno Mars at Hyde Park with my wife and children.

The less said the better, how times change.

Are they a viable alternative?

I remember seeing them in Norwich in '79 (at a guess). Showing my age!

I've just read Lol Tolhurst's book Cured and he talks about the early Crawley days a lot in it, citing that pub in particular.
