In case anyone's been inspired by this thread, we've booked for one of these this year.
https://www.fakefestivals.co.uk
Been wanting to let our kids see a bit of live music, but bands at pubs in the evening are off limits, proper festivals are a bit hardcore/too much of a commitment and this way they'll see some tunes they are familiar with.
Anyone else done one before?
P.S. I'm off to my second https://www.bonfest.com in a couple of weeks time.

I love Tragedy-an all metal tribute to the Bee Gees.
Now that sounds like a good night out!Do they have to pay royalties?
They're on tour now. I think their website is let's make tragedy happen.
Also, I love that their first two albums were called We rock sweet balls and can do no wrong, followed by Humbled by our greatness.

Probably the most professional of all I've seen The Illegal Eagles.
These are the only tribute band I've seen.As the chances of seeing the Eagles live are now zero, I went to see the Illegal Eagles and they were actually very good (and good fun, they don't take themselves too seriously, but do take the performances seriously, exactly what you want!).
I'm still not entirely sold on the idea of tribute bands, but I'd recommend The Illegal Eagles if you do fancy some live Eagles material.

Limehouse lizzy have been around forever... I remember seeing them at Notts americana about 20 years ago.
They were very good back then, not seen them since.
We used to travel up to Kendal every christmas for an AC/DC tribute called AC/DO, they were the best of many that I've seen but I think they packed it in.
I do usually try and seek out good new music rather than tributes and covers though......
