Just wondering, what are PH’s eyes on the most definitive songs to hit the club? I’d have to say my favourite era was the late 90s to early/mid noughties when hip hop/rap and R&B took over (see: Usher - Yeah, Petey Pablo - Freekaleek, Sir Mix A Lot - Baby got Back, Lil Jon - Get Low, 50 Cent - Candy Shop)

and the early 90s electronic

The Prodigy - Breathe
The Prodigy - Firestarter

When early forms of garage and grime appeared around 2002

Wiley - Wot do U call it?

Soul and funk influenced songs getting back in to the charts (See: OutKast, Hey ya!)

I quite liked Pitbull but that was a resurgence for me, same with 212 by Azealia Banks.
Bangin' tunes but the '90's was where it's at.
Best tune of all for me - The Bomb by the Bucketheads.

“212” was a decent song actually. I’ve just remembered, “Lean Back” by Terror Squad was another classic, and “In Da Club” - 50 Cent

A few that seemed everywhere in the late 90s that I think still sound great:

Faithless - Insomnia
Ultra Nate - Free
Spiller - Groovejet
Fragma - Toca's Miracle

Literally too many to list, I grew up on 'house' music from the mid 90s onwards so for me it's tracks like:

Prodigy - No good
Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar
Storm - Storm
Da Hool - Meet her at the love parade
Chemical Brothers - Hey boy hey girl
Faithless - Salva Mea
Push - Universal Nation
Tori Amos - Professional Widow (AvH mix)
Lisa Marie Project - Keep on jumping
Etc.

The scene kind of progressed through house to trance to hard house over 8-10 years until the mid 00s in parallel you had house to speed garage to UK garage. Progressive house then started to get big and I kind of went down that road.

Christ, I used to love that!

My proper "chemically enhanced" days were late 90's, so ones that floated my boat included:-

Cafe del Mar (Energy 52)
Storm (Storm)
Beachball (Nalin & Kane)
Dark & Long (Underworld - remix)
Meet Her at The Love Parade (Da Hool)
Music Sounds Better With You (Stardust)
1998 (Binary Finary - Matt Darey remix)
Darker (Brancaccio & Aisher)
Atom Bomb (Fluke)

Such Saturdays (well, Sunday mornings) usually ended up with a cup of tea and some Kruder & Dorfmeister on the stereo.

I'm off to go listen to my original Euphoria albums, the green and the red ones.
Bought them when they first came out, but would have most of what's already mentioned here.

There's no answer to the OP but these are a couple of my top 10000 tracks.

Here is something interesting.

In the early 90's, I was enjoying lots of the above mentioned tracks too. My parents took us to Scotland to see family up there and my cousins took me to a club in Edinburgh. Everyone was going mad for L.A Style - James Brown is Dead.

I had never heard the song, none of the clubs down south seemed to picked up on it. Yet it was everywhere in Scotland.

Oh yes. Also the 'vs Holiday' mix. Went mental the first time I heard that!

Rockafella Skank (Fatboy Slim)
You Don't Know Me (Armand VH)

I think I have Male Stripper by man2man meets man parrish on vinyl somewhere. I suspect it might have been popular in the gay clubs!

Hardcore

Edge 1 - Compounded
Diss Reaction - Jieeehaaa
Hixxy - Toytown (many don't like it but at the time people went mental for it)

Hard trance style

Commander Tom - Are Am Eye
R Wagner - Listen Carefully
Jones & Stephenson - First Rebirth

Main room trance has been adequately covered already smile

Just listened to this. Reminded me of another classic:

Also, Maria Naylor / Angry Skies (Tilt) - vocals don't really belong on trance but this brigs back so many partial memories.

Oh and Son of a Pitch / Nemo 03

More recently - Cherrymoon Trax - The House Of House (Jam El Mar Remix)
