Went to see Chris and Cosey at The Band on the Wall in Manchester on Friday. Truly excellent and amazingly high quality sound.

What an experience that was. Incredible show.
Yup, even better than I remember having last seen them ~14 years ago! My ears are still ringing and we were halfway back in the seats (I forgot my ear plugs and foolishly thought 'well it's a stadium show, it won't be obscenely loud'...)

I've heard rumours of more UK dates (other than Belfast) next year being released anytime soon...

James Grant was the fella in Love & Money. John Grant is a musician though. Hope you see who you were hoping to see!

I was wondering when someone was going to spot that (said in my best Captain Mainwaring voice) !!

Actually, I'm going to see both James Grant (Love & Money) and also John Grant (with his Creep Show collaboration) within a couple of weeks of each other.

Somewhat different musical styles I think you'll agree.

Danny and Luke from Thunder are playing the local venue here in October so my mate and I have booked that. Them chatting and unplugged - should be a fun night out.

I discovered Dinosaur Pile-Up this week and spotted they're playing the Exchange in Bristol in December. Only £10.50! Needless to say, it's sold out. Boo.

Mrs PB pointed out that 41yo me and 42yo mate would look like sad old farts there anyway!

Didn't he go a bit mad? Hadn't realised they were even still going. Come Clean was a cracking album to be fair.

I can honestly say I was surprised how good the gig was. Put virtually every other band I've ever seen in the shade. A lesson in how to do stadium rock and I don't think anyone else will ever come close. Not really my taste in rock music (I prefer the heavier stuff) but I'm so glad I eventually got to see the hottest rock'n'roll band in the land.

Wow, hadn't heard of them since I saw them supporting Korn back in 2002!
