I was given Led Zeppelin One by a neighbour when I was 13 in October 1980. I was gutted when I loved it to discover that they'd just broken up after Bonzo's death.
I saw Page and Plant at Wembley Arena in 1998. They were in great form for that tour. I failed to get tickets for the 2007 O2 show and that will always be one of my great disappointments.
I was at that gig too. Ruined by the fact I was sat directly behind Brian May & Anita Dobson. All I could see of the stage was about 2 square feet of persian carpet & one of Jimmy Page's shoes...I saw Page and Plant at Wembley Arena in 1998. They were in great form for that tour. Likewise on the O2. A proper lifetime regret, although I did catch Plant in Birmingham last year with Seth Lakeman & it was tremendous. Plant's voice was great considering his age (esp compared to Daltrey at Glasto in 2015, whose voice unfortunately seems to have lost most of it's upper range) & he was on good, chatty, relaxed, jokey form. He does seem like a settled, contented bloke these days.

I saw them in Knebworth and was disappointed that the live songs just weren't as good as the recorded material. Once was enough for me.
I think this had started happening in 77 but the early shows they were brilliant going by the live stuff I've heard from that era.Saw Plant at the Town and Country Club in the 80s and Page and Plant at Wembley Arena but wasn't overly impressed, the audience looked old and grey which didn't seem right tbh, the days of the audience with long hair, skinny and wearing a Levi jacket were long gone unfortunately.

Went to see Lou Reed at the Royal Albert Hall in 2008 to catch up on drug fuelled degeneracy and the audience was a sea of Blue Harbour. Most of us seemed to be Waiting For The Man From Marks and Spencer.Raygun said:

I was wearing my Levi jacket. It had just shrunk at some time.
I was moving house recently and came across an old Levi jacket "how the heck did I get into that?" Perhaps I washed it after I stopped wearing it and it shrunk, lolcherryowen said:

My favourite LZ track? ' When the Levee Breaks '. Superb vocals ,even suprber guitar.
Not to mention Bonzo's drum sound on that one!IIRC, Page put him on one of the staircase half landings at Headley Grange and placed mics at various locations in the stairwell.

Jimmy Page was in the audience at Koko in Camden for Wilko Johnson's last ever gig. Last ever gig but one. Last ever gig but... how many is it now? Five years ago was it he wasn't going to make it? But he has.
Went a bit Off Topic there.
I think I saw JP walking in the Highlands near Plockton this summer. He has a place near there.Went a bit Off Topic there.
As you were...

I think my favourite LZ track would be Ten Years Gone.
I think there are better tunes in their catalogue, but it is a very lovely tune indeed.Thinking about it, there are probably more "folksy" / "chilled out" LZ tunes I like more than their rock stuff.
Do I have a favourite LZ tune? Tricky. No Quarter (Live) is sensational, What Is and What Should Never Be, Ramble On, Black Dog, Your Time is Gonna Come, That's The Way, just off the top of my head.
Maybe No Quarter (Live) edges it for me
