Think Diana Ross should have given up, terrible vocals and only getting a away with it because lots of the songs are so well known.

My wife wanted to watch Diana Ross on iPlayer but it was painful...really flat and screechy vocals. I went out to the garage to get on with a little job and when I came back she got me to turn it off and my wife is fan.
I know she is an icon but this is bad. Not enough power in the voice to carry off a gig of this size. Did you actually watch the show start to finish? Did you see joy and love that was shown to and reciprocated by thousands of people of all ages? Do you actually understand what Glastonbury is all about?
Yes I agree her older stuff - stuff She's had to regurgitate for nigh on 50 years was not the best but I challenge you to sit down and listen (properly) from "Thank You" till the end of the show and then criticise........but you wont!

Watched the McCartney set last night/tonight, was impressed how strong he was at 80 although his voice did falter a little especially with Dave Grohl but that may have been the mikes. His mike could have been louder, or maybe it was deliberately quiet..
Was always a fan of the Beatles, not so much Macca and Wings after BOTR which still stands out as a classic album.
The animated BOTR cover playing in the background was clever, did Lennon's family give permission for the vid of John singing on "I've got a feeling".
Still watching as I type, and praying he doesn't do Mulligan's Tyre.
Some of the reviews on here have kept me amused. Never a fan of Elbow too dreary for me. Were the Waterboys on the TV coverage? Need to look at the red button. Fave comment from last few pages : Diana Ross - "murder is being committed on stage"(thank you Dinger).

Following a tip off on the other PH thread on this years event (TV coverage only), I'm watching First Aid kit on BBC iPlayer, what a well polished and well executed performance.
First heard of them about 7 or 8 year ago when a young girl joined the company I worked for and raved about them - she was a Glastonbury attender. shortly afterwards they appeared on the Andrew Marr Sunday show of all things - two demure young girls in perfect harmony. Nearly bought the CD on that performance but didn't as it all sounded very similar. Did enjoy this 2022 set though, they've come a long way, although a good cover, Don Henley's "Boys of Summer" was an odd choice.

not convinced a headliner lone singer on an empty stage has the grunt to elevate the senses of a last night crowd as compared to Bryan Adams, Muse, Stringbean, or even [ gulp ] The Killers.
vera pooer.
Picked up now the whole band is on.
Would very much like to see Dave Gilmour (or, even better, the remaining Floyd members but that’s even more unlikely) as the legend next year before he hangs up his guitar.
