Not a single band who formed this millennium, that tells you something both about the fall of rock in the mainstream and I suspect the age of the Louder readership.
Due to the quality or lack of .I don't know but off the top of my head Savages, Twilight Sad, Arcade Fire, The National and Wild Flag would be contenders.
To be honest though the whole list is massively undermined by the omission of 3 of the most critically lauded and influential bands. Sonic Youth, REM & Radiohead. No doubt they don't fit a very narrow definition of 'rock band'.
Very odd list.
No British Punk bands at all?
Nothing from the last 30 years at all (Foo Fighters came out of Nirvana, which is 30 years+ now).
A fair number of 'novelty acts' (or near if not outright - Slade, ZZ Top?)
And what constitutes 'Rock' according to the compilers of this list?
I guess, like most of these lists, it's compiled to spark discussion/argument rather than having any objective value.
I wouldn't put at least 30 of them on my list...
