My Amp has a built in one I dont like, so Im using a cheapy clip on type....but this doesnt always manage to decipher the frequencies very well...

Looking for something thats easy to use and accurate, doesnt need to be fully chromatic.....

I've used a Boss TU-2 for years, it's really good and proven very reliable.

Main board - Sonic Research - Turbo Tuner

Grab n Go board - Boss TU2

Boss is good and reliable, Turbo Tuner is a different league though.

I often use GuitarTuna on my phone as well

Yes...although pretty much any tuner will. You just tune down the low E until it reads as a D and then (if necessary) retune your A,D, G, B & E strings (as drop D will obviously throw out a trem set to standard tuning and often affects guitars with a fixed bridge slightly too, as there’s less pull on the neck...).

Just to wrap this up, and show what a contrary git I can be...... wink

I bought this one in the end...

https://www.andertons.co.uk/daddario-pedal-tuner

I liked the simplicity of it and didnt the chromatic tuning of the Polytune.

This is dead easy to read in any light and so far, very happy......

Cheers for the input though.
