Oh my god. Brian Johnson is awful. It is very obvious he can't sing a note and is just 'putting on' what he thinks is a heavy metal voice. If he was a comedian singing like that to take the piss out of rock music, you would think he was hilarious.

Also on the subject of rock, Rob Halford the singer for Judas Priest is terrible, and Gene Simmons of Kiss should have stopped singing 20 years ago.

Also horrendous:
Bob Dylan
Yoko Ono
Will.i.am
Chris Martin

Got to be that Paul Young, can’t sing a note live to save his life.

First time a mate of mine played me some Yoko Ono album he liked, I thought it was some kind of comedy record piss-take.

I think you may have identified the worst 'singer' in western pop music in the C20th.

I now appreciate that she may be singing in some Japanese tongue, but may be wrong? Whatever, 'twas horrid!

They can sing, but there is something about the tone of James Arthur and Jessie J's voices that really grates.

Sometimes singers try to put so much emotion into their performance that they forget they are supposed to be producing a pleasant sound.

Geldof. Actually I think he can sing a bit and he was a good frontman but he's just got a horrible voice.

Ozzy. Cant sing.

All good nominations so far, but I'm going to go with Bernard Sumner

Florence Welch.

She either can't sing, or she sings in such a clever way that it's beyond my understanding. I think it's the former.
I actually think she has a great voice the lyrics are all over the shop but I like it.

Can't sing...H from steps lol, Ozzy Osborne and indeed Kelly, Ice T (does he count), lady Gaga (seems more of a parody), Stomzy.

I think you could add Ian Curtis and hooky for the set. And I say that as a NO and JD mega fan.

Agree, but somehow Sabbath wouldn't have worked so well with a more traditionally 'good' vocalist.

Explains why his voice is all over the place.
