That’s how I felt at the end of that concert.

Then you need to re-read my posts.
It's okay to think he's a knob, I saw a documentary about him from a long time ago and he came across as a total cretin.

No he CAN sing. He just seemed to have found his niche as an 80s novelty pop act.

Mik, you may not like the sound of his voice, but on this song he is singing very well.

Like Rod Stewart, the dark and dusky voiced singers have always remained popular. Kim Carnes, Bonnie Tyler etc.

Kim Carnes, top backing vocalist now, check out Michael McDonald's Gathering Of Friends, the cream of LA session musicians, there she is with McDonald's wife Amy.

Adele has fairly dodgy pitch and her diction is horrendous.
Nothing to do with singing ability more about the marketing & the emphasis on her size as a selling tool.
Her non-singing diction is fine when the content is common & vulgar.

Knopfler surely!

And even though I am a fan, Bernard Sumner could not sing for toffee, especially live!

I caught some of Adèle at Glastonbury on TV last night, I thought that she sounded great, but what do I know? I’m no connoisseur of singing voices.
What I didn’t get, was why the constant effing and blinding between songs, while having a dialogue with the fans?
As an ex truck driver, and retired Black Cab driver, I very often drop a few Anglo Saxon words in conversation with friends, but I know when not to do it.
My wife says that it’s Adèle’s way of letting the fans know that she’s one of them, and down with the kids, i.e, “Listen to me swearing, I’m one of your own.”

I think it is thoroughly unprofessional to swear on stage. I've never done it and never will, it makes me wince to see it being done.

When it comes to the ladies singing, Alison Moyet is way way better than Adele

With the best will in the world b.r., that is just your opinion, I too think that Alf is great, her rendition of “Invisible” is an absolute knockout IMO too.
What I mean is that in their respective ways, they are both fantastic singers, and I can listen to either of them, anytime, and never get tired of them.

Well, if we're doing comparing... Natalie Merchant trumps both of them for me.

Alison Moyet's voice has a slightly depressing effect on me, and I think Guitar Paul's spot on with Adele's dodgy pitch and diction. The best song she ever sang was not one of her own. (Feel my love)

I was one of the earlier posters in this thread, however I would like to retract all my previous suggestions and replace them all with just one:

Lemmy from Motörhead.

Absolutely horrific. No words can adequately describe how bad he was. Literally could not sing a note. Could barely even speak a note. Just coughed, wheezed and croaked his way through every song like he’s just lost his voice.

To make matters worse, he couldn’t even sing ‘on beat’. Just wheezed along sloppily at a different pace to the actual music.

Awful.

Knopfler actually a good shout! Amazing guitar player though!

As for the suggestion of Whitney Houston, just ridiculous, often regarded as one of the greatest female vocalists there has ever been!

She deserves a mention after the hatchet job she did on I Will Always Love You.

That's a fair point, it was quite a pleasant song before she abused it. It also led to this sort of thing, later on, which is really rather sad:
