I caught a video of the Average White Band playing Pick Up The Pieces at Montreux in 1977 on Freeview last night. Absolutely flawless. I'd forgotten just how good they were.

I was always a rocker but AWB was somehow one of those non-rock bands that one was allowed to like
Their version of the Isley's Work to Do is better. Let's Go Round Again was later covered (and a hit made) by Louise.
If you've got vinyl capability then this 12" EP has both. AWBs versions of course

Me too. But pretty eclectic tastes too.If you fancy going back in time then take a look at Freeview Channel 7 (That's TV) if you can get it in your area. Pretty much wall to wall '70s music videos throughout the day, and '80s from 23:00 until the early hours. Some interesting stuff to be had.

I haven't got around to investigating Freeview (although the house, moved last Nov, does have an antenna/amp & cabling). Coverage is patchy in NW Highlands. Neither DAB (at all) nor FM radio without an aerial. Freesat or streaming are the only means at present for me.
