Gig Plans - 2021
Discussion
Rammstein (obviously)
Download
Rockprest
Ozzy/Judas Priest (but dunno if he'll be able to if and when the time comes - may even be 2022 now)
Seen Within Temptation already in Manchester but would go again to the Evanescence gig if there's tickets for Leeds
Meshuggah
Lamb of God
How many of these happen is anyone's guess.
Nightwish are pencilled in to play Birmingham in May if anyone likes them...

Currently I’ve a couple from 2020 re-scheduled for 2021: Snuff in January at New Cross and Bad Religion in the spring at the Forum.
Be surprised if BR goes ahead at the moment but we’ll see. Snuff more likely, although it’s a tiny venue (which is going to affect most of the bands that I follow through 2021+) & nature of the band/music doesn’t lend itself to distancing or standing around quietly watching.
I’ll get tickets for Outbreak Fest, which is in Manchester in June (potentially weekend after Le Mans) as well, several bands booked for that which I’ve not seen live yet (Drain (in particular) & Incendiary hopefully will both make it).
I'm in the mood for another Snuff gig, not seen them since St Albans in 2018Be surprised if BR goes ahead at the moment but we’ll see. Being an old gimmer, I went several times to that in the days when it was called Donington Monsters Of Rock.

Must say I'm less inclined to go cos it's not very metal to bend to commercialism is it and Download is a high concentration in one place. RockPrest(on) is a free download-esque festival and is all tribute bands. It's mental and I think they do similar in other parts of the country.

I've got New Order at The O2, The Pet Shop Boys at Brum NEC or whatever it is called these days (both rolled over from 2020) and Camper Calling Festival on August Bank Holiday, which might have a teeny chance of happening, but I doubt it.
Glastonbury rolled over to 2022 for me, and Nick Cave was in the diary but that got cancelled.
On a positive note, I had my first Covid jab on Friday, so it's a teeny positive light at the end of the tunnel. However, by my very rough back of a fag packet calculations it is going to take at least 6 months to get the adult population through its first jab; I had the Pfizer one, and although they recommend 21 days for the second one, I am assuming 12 weeks, will be interesting to see if that period shortens.
In the meantime I've actually picked up my Fender Telecaster and started playing it again. I'm not particularly good as I'm a ham-fisted middle-aged bloke with a dislocated little finger but I try my best, nailed the riff to Waterfall by The Stone Roses yesterday, felt good!
