I like this thread, I like it lots..

But it stopped being just Trance a long time ago.

There's vocal house, old school rave, acid, Detroit house, Eurocrap and some nosebleed Gabba here.. , and loads of other bits of Dance Music, which are all good.
And we have lots of techno.

Here's something proper trancey to get back on track.

With perhaps the most amazing YouTube dance music ever?

From this album, which I urge you very strongly to get:

OK scrap that last idea about best dance music video.

Its this one. Michel Gondry's genius.
Blew my mind the first time I saw it 20 yrs ago, still blows my mind now.

Charlotte de Witte's essential mix last year is a stand out, not really trance but utterly relentless.

Well, anyway... just chatting with a friend and agreeing this track defines how we met.

hehe

I mean, music is individual, right? Each to their own I guess, if it speaks to you, that's what it's all about.

But this is somewhat better to my ears...

Btw just had a trawl back through some of the music posted above, and no matter how wide your definition of "trance" a lot of it is a mile either side of that. redcard

From one of the best guilty pleasure movies ever... Take me back to the White Isle, mojito in Cafe del Mar one evening to watch the sunset over the Rocks and straight off the beach into Ushuaia the next.

I snuck into the "DJ room" this weekend a room I rarely get chance to venture to sadly! There may be a bit of a classic vinyl mix brewing! Fluid/Additive/Platypus stuff I dug out. If I ever get it done I'll post a link up!

I’ve just discovered this thread. Thanks for all the tunes, guys. It reminds me of wonderful memories of Return to the Source at the Fridge on a Saturday night. Sadly, many memories were completely lost as well but I think that was half the fun!

That's flash. I pulled out my minidisc walkman the other day, which I haven't used since 2004. I used to record some of my time building sets and listening/learning the tracks at work to get that Northern Exposure level mixing. I didn't know I had so many good tracks and I certainly can't remember the names of them to find them on Youtube....! I think I'm going to drag out the records and the one Vestax TT I still have and digitise them so I can muck around with them on the PC with some software. I packed the records and CDs into boxes at the end of 2004 and haven't looked at them since, having moved house three times since....

This. Not much of what I call trance recently. But I don't care as I'm being shown some great new music: thank you!
