If a small band has ever blown you away and deserve to be seen/added to our music libraries, let us know who they are!

They could be current or past, but shouldn't be common knowledge.

Small is obviously subjective, but in the last year or so I've got into

Florence Black - now becoming more well known, the days of just idly chatting with them on FB are rapidly diminishing

Mad Haven - 3 young lads from Conwy, getting better as they get older, getting some decent support slots now

The Hot Damn - all girl band from the ashes of The Amorettes and Tequila Mockinbyrd, not seen them live yet but they have had a couple of decent singles and they have a lively FB presence.

Scaramanga Six, been going years, quirky and catchy, just not famous.

Black Doldrums

Seen them a few times and they just blew me away. Started as just a guitarist and drummer but now have a bass player.

Big, long, dark and moody tunes. Love 'em!

Sounds great, reminds me of my bloody Valentine. Just booked some tickets.

Excellent! cool

They only really play tiny places which does suit them.

Last saw them in Hackney last November, and I think they're next in London (Dalston) in June.

Enjoy! thumbup

LA band called Momma

Bit of a 90's grungey revival thing going on, executed brilliantly.

Think they have a new album coming out pretty soon, new single just released.

I'm really into metal etc.....but.....

Coco and the Butterfields.

Folky poppy stuff. Tend to spend the winter playing bars in the Alps.

Give them a try. They deserve to be dominating daytime radio imho.

‘68 supported A just before lockdown and were fking epic. Josh Scogin (guitar and vocals) has been around for a while in Norma Jean who were quite well known in underground scenes but the drummer, Nikko Yamada, is awesome to watch live. That their band name is two numbers and they supported a band whose name is a single letter amused me but they fit the “small band” recommendation request.

I never tire of listening to this

I suppose they class as small, but the interrupters, lead by the beautiful Aimee Allen

Punk/Ska - just an absolutely awesome fun happy band

Bloody love them! Saw them supporting Less Than Jake a while back and got right into it.

Maybe not to everyone’s taste, but I’m getting in to Louis Dunford. Very cockney, almost like a more modern, chilled out Mike Skinner/The Streets, but my god the lad can put a lyric together! Regretamine is a good one (subject matter may not be to everyone’s taste!) and Boys Do Cry is an absolute corker.

For heavier stuff, “Chunk, No Captain Chunk!” are top drawer. Playing Dead is on repeat most days!

The Interrupters deserve to be massive but that genre will always struggle, still when your biggest fan is Tim Armstrong who knows…

Syd Arthur.

Should be bigger than they are, saw them live and was amazed at how good they are.

Think modern prog, I suppose....

Fire Tiger caught my attention with a couple of tracks. Not a big band by any means, if you like 80s "retro" type music, this will fit the bill.

Gold Fields - Black Sun is still one of my favourite albums, a bit indie/synth/electronic style

Snakadaktal - fabulous band that split up way too soon

I have a couple of indie band suggestions based on current acts who are not huge and that I've seen live as well as bought their music...

1. Victories At Sea
2. Island

I've bought the t-shirts, records and CD's as well as promoted them to family and friends in the hope that they earn enough to keep making music and keep touring.
